Hiking route along the botanical trail-Valle de Benasque

Botanical Trail -Gorgas de Alba

Parking in the Turpi Plan - Gorgas de Alba Viewpoint - Parking in the Turpi Plan.

After leaving the car in the car park in front of the Hotel Turpi, the itinerary begins after crossing the bridge over the Esera River, crossing small pastures surrounded by box trees. A few meters from the beginning, a small rocky area rises and a few minutes later the path goes into a forest of black pine with yew and fir trees. After about 25 minutes we find a detour to the left that signals the Gorgas de Alba, but we recommend continuing the path in front of us until we reach the track that leads to the baths of Benasque, where the path continues a few meters to quickly begin the descent through a beautiful beech forest.

On the way back, you will find the crossroads towards Gorgas de Alba, this time on your right, which you will now take to the viewpoint built on footbridges offering spectacular views of the waterfalls. From here, the descent to the starting point continues along the right bank of the river where firs and pines predominate.
