From Benasque road to the end of the valley after crossing Lliterola cliff bridge (just after Baños de Benasque detour), there is a path on the left with a pronounced ascent between rocks and black pines. After passing through the wooded area, the slope softens and the trees yield to high mountain meadows. The route progresses all the time on the left side of the cliff until arriving to a small mountain pass at 2,000 meters high. After it, the path levels out without gaining height until it reaches a cliff crossing on the right side of Lliterola cliff where there is a small hut. Before arriving to this hut, there is a sign that marks the S5 route to the right, and the hut and Estós peak to the left. In this case, we will have to follow the S5 route marks to Literola white lake.
The path gains height over the cliff and, step by step, the itinerary straightens to the northwest without leaving Lliterola’s left edge, although, in some moments, it runs almost next to its course.
As we gain height, the cliff narrows and, after a soft descent, it reaches Lliterola small lake, located at 2,500 meters high under Perdigueret peak protection.
The way back will be retracing the same path.
