Benasque Valley is not only a territorial unity but also cultural and social traits that result in a unique identity. Over the course of centuries, a rich intangible cultural heritage has been established showing up in popular festivities such as the ‘fallas’ during the summer solstice, in annual festivities, in popular dances, in traditional games, in songs, in tales and in legends.
As part of this unique identity, we also find the language that the elderly still uses in the villages; the ‘patués’.
